How do I know if I have a strong case?

If we believe your chances are low, we’ll let you know and won’t move forward with the case unless we see a clear path to success. How can I verify if my representative is authorized to assist with my case before IRCC?

To verify if your representative is authorized, check if they are a member of the appropriate regulatory body. Citizenship or immigration consultants must be members of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants. Lawyers and notaries should be registered with a provincial or territorial law society, or the Chambre des notaires du Québec. In Ontario, paralegals must belong to the Law Society of Ontario. If they are not in good standing, you should not to use their services. Most law societies offer online tools to check membership status.

Do I need a lawyer to start my business?
